Small Shop Dust Collecting

Often one of the most overlooked parts of any small woodworking shop is the dust collection/extraction system. This equipment is responsible for machine centre dust/chip removal to a central storage container(s) for later disposal or further processing. Effective dust collection is critical in maintaining a safe breathing environment, eliminating waste build up at the machine centres and reduction of shop cleaning duties. System efficiency relies on many different factors and it is important that the system be designed by experienced dust collection professionals. Factors such as space restrictions, noise restrictions, material types and volumes, number of machine centres, air quality regulations and overall systems costs play important roles in their design.

Small shop dust collecting equipment for shops ranging in size from home hobby woodworking shops to commercial and light industrial shops (schools, furniture plants, etc). Typical equipment types include vacuums, cyclones, portable bag collectors, baghouses, cartridge collectors, ambient air cleaners, downdraft tables and workstations.
