Centrifugal Bucket Conveyor / Elevator

The centrifugal bucket conveyor is one of the most widely used conveyor in the animal feed industry. It consists of a continuous belt with buckets attached along its length. The material is fed into the bottom of the conveyor with the rising upwards facing bucket picking up the material. When the buckets reach the top of the elevator and go over the top pulley (drum), the centrifugal force throws the material out of the buckets into a chute.

Used extensively with grains and other raw products to convey them into silos, hoppers, etc. The bucket conveyor has high speed operation, an inherent ability to re-pickup dropped material and large vertical elevation capacity. Not suitable where degradation of solids is undesirable because of high speed material contact with outfeed boot and particle collisions.
