Feed Mill Vibrating Conveyors
Common types of vibrating conveyors used in animal feed production include: Excited Base, Inertia Shaker, and Tubular. Vibrating conveyors consist of a base member below a spring supported trough or tube that is driven by an electric motor with a fixed eccentric shaft or rotating weight. The drive transmits vibration to the pan continuously throwing the material upwards and forward, moving the material in short hops along the conveyor.
Vibrating conveyors are used extensively where sanitation, washdown and low maintenance are essential. Vibrating conveyors can also be used as a feeder to other equipment or function as a screen, sorter or classifier. Tubular vibrating conveyors are used where elimination of dusting or spillage is required.
