Feed Pellet Mill System
The feed pellet mill system consists of a supply bin, feeder, conditioner and pellet mill(s). A hopper discharges material form the mixer, to the feeder.
The supply bin is of adequate size to provide a continuous supply of feed from the mixer to the pellet mill.
The feeder is typically a variable speed, stainless steel, screw conveyor. The screw has a tapered or variable pitch inlet area to pull the feed uniformly from the supply bin.
The conditioner provides thermal treatment (steam) of the feed prior to pelleting.
The pellet mill(s) process the feed material using rollers pressing the material against a die, forcing the material through the holes of the die. This creates a pressurized pellet.
