Motion Controller: The RMC controller family from Delta Computer Systems controls the velocity and position of the cylinder based on feedback from the transducers.  The RMC controller receives signals from the transducers and outputs a signal to the servo valve.

Pump: The pump supplies the oil under pressure that is required to move the system’s cylinder piston converting mechanical power to fluid power.

Cylinder: The cylinder converts fluid power to linear mechanical power.

Accumulator: The accumulator is an energy storage device.

MDT: The MDT (magnetostrictive displacement transducer) measures linear position.  The motion controller gets the cylinder position from the transducer mounted in the cylinder.

Pressure Transducers: The motion controller gets its pressure inputs from transducers that are mounted in the cylinder.

Valve: The valve is either a servo valve or servo-quality proportional valve.
